Our client is seeking an experienced technical and leadership professional with software architecture and integration knowledge. Qualified candidates will have:

  • 3+ years of ServiceNow Administrative and Development execution and leadership experience in large scale multi-role, multi-application, highly integrated environment
  • 2+ years of leading development teams in developing custom ServiceNow applications, Portals, Mobile Applications, and/or custom ServiceNow functionality
  • Experience with web and mobile development technologies/services, workflow automation platforms, operational and analytics data platforms, enterprise integration, and cloud computing
  • Working experience with modern agile development methodologies and practices
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills, coupled with strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, able to graciously give and receive constructive feedback
  • Broad knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Ability to identify how changing technologies will impact technology choices in architectural decisions.
  • Ability to travel approximately 20% of the time throughout Canada along with some international travel.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in an engineering, computer science, or related field is preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Preferred: ServiceNow Administrator Certification and/or ServiceNow Developer Certification or equivalent 3-5 years of experience. Certification in use of specific methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, Agile, and ITIL helpful but not required.

Qualified candidates will demonstrate expertise in many of the following areas:

  • ServiceNow Basics: Basic User Interface, Banner Frame, Help, Searching, UI Impacting properties, List and Form Views, Root tables (tasks, cmdb, sysapproval_*, sys_user, etc.), Tasks, ACLs.
  • ServiceNow Service Portal: Legacy CMS, Branding, Pages, Widgets and custom widget creation, Mobil App design studio, Instances, Data structures, BootStrap, AngularJS, Debugging
  • ServiceNow Administration Basics: List V2 verses V3, extending and creating custom tables, Field Types, Form Design, UI15/16, Dictionary overrides, related lists, workflows, UI and Data policies, SAML and LDAP authentication
  • ServiceNow Scripting: Scripting (server side and client side), dot walking, Encoded Query Strings, Script Includes, APIs, Glide, Debugging, Powershell, REST/SOAP data movement
  • Integrations, Data Loading, transforming: Loading data, Data source configuration and Testing, Configure Transform map, Scripting in a transform, managing Large data loads, Validation techniques
  • Experience with API design/management and application services implementation, including both on-premises and cloud-based scenarios. Familiarity with practices and popular tools, such as MuleSoft Anypoint/CloudHub platform, SAP, etc.
  • Basic understanding of Master Data Management and the key tenets (e.g. Data Dictionary, Authoritative stores)
  • Basic understanding of Networking, Systems, and communications protocols
  • Basic experience in major programming and scripting languages (e.g. Java, Python, C#, C++, PERL), exposure to several emerging programming languages (e.g. Go, Rust, Kotlin) and understanding of frameworks (e.g. Spring, .NET Core, etc.).
  • Basic experience in the deployment and use of integration platforms and the design, implementation and support of application integration solutions, including integration of Legacy, COTS, SaaS and proprietary/legacy applications.
  • Familiarity with cloud or on premise integration platforms such as Mulesoft Anypoint platform, Sailpoint/Okta SSO and Access and Identity Management platform, AD/Azure AD, SAP Cloud
  • Demonstrated expertise in building integration flows between popular SaaS products (e.g. Salesforce, ServiceNow, Workday, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP Concur, etc.) as well as bespoke and packaged products.
  • Expertise with Web portal products and User Interface design, including but not limited to AngularJS, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and XML
  • Development/Technology Team Leadership (e.g. project management, development/QA team management)
  • The successful candidate has substantial expertise, worked in multi-disciplinary environments, legacy application environments, and is likely to be viewed as a Senior ServiceNow Developer or Administrator for these topics in industry or within an enterprise.
  • While hands-on technical knowledge and experience is critical, it is equally important that the successful candidate has the ability to see beyond design to meet business and customer requirements.
